Morogoro Reunion number 3 in Norway !

It had started in Morogoro, Tanzania, in the late 1970’s.

Asbjorn and Randi from Norway, Maggie and John from the UK and Keith from the UK (but now living in the USA) were a group of like-minded friends and we had done a number of things together.

In 1979,  in Tanzania, we had made some exciting trips in Land Rovers across the Massai steppe and to the Selous game reserve. <= Click on link to see more info and pictures!

In 2009 (30 years later!), we had the first Morogoro Reunion, in the Lake District in North West England

In 2011, we had Morogoro Reunion number 2 in Switzerland

In 2014 (6-13 July), it was time to go to for Reunion number 3! We flew-in to Trondheim and made our way by train or private car via Steinkjer to Asbjorn and Randi’s cabin in Vingsand, a VERY small fishing village (12 full time inhabitants!) along the Norwegian coast.

As usual, we reminded ourselves of “good old times” and made sure to build a better world for our children. Our hosts took excellent care of us and we ate like Viking kings for a week.

We made various trips in the area, went fishing on Asbjorn’s boat, made walks, rode bicycles and the ladies even went swimming! We were lucky to have great weather, lots of sunshine and temperatures above 30°C!

Soon it was time to go again, heart and minds filled with great memories.

Strand petroglyph site. The rock engravings have existed for about 5000 years. The panel’s most prominent figure is the whale. These engravings are typical for the outermost parts of Central Norway.
